The Airbus Summit 2022 that took place between November 30 and December 1 had a focus on "gathering pace towards sustainable aerospace". This Summit was a great opportunity to learn more about the challenges and opportunities that are currently transforming the aviation world, from an aircraft manufacturer perspective. Air Liquide, as a key partner, was there.

During the "ZEROe unfiltered" panel (captioned "the subtle art of powering an aircraft with hydrogen"), Glenn LLewellyn, VP of the ZEROe program, underlined the importance of the ecosystem to make the zero-emission aircraft happen. This was followed by a detailed presentation of how liquid hydrogen production at a large airport could look like in the future (based on a joint-study by Air Liquide, Airbus and Groupe ADP).

As the sector is now fully committed to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, hydrogen will have a key role to play in this process.
