On May 26, 2023, the Air Liquide donated 500,000 yuan to the Beijing Entrepreneur Environmental Protection Foundation (SEE Foundation) for a new project. This project involves the planting of 15,000 broadleaf trees (primarily maple and birch species, among other native tree species) in the Dayangling habitat area of the Yingjing section in the Ya'an Giant Panda National Park in Sichuan Province. The trees will cover an approximate area of 250 acres (167,000 square meters). The project duration is three years, which includes one year for planting and two years for maintenance to ensure the vegetation reaches the required survival rate and enters a relatively stable state. The main objectives of the project are air purification, water conservation, soil conservation, and fertility enhancement. Moreover, over the next 30 years, it is estimated that the trees planted under this project will sequester nearly 4,000 tons of carbon dioxide.
